SAN DIEGO -- In the last five years, the sales of women's nylon hosiery has dropped
by about 40 percent, going the way of the girdle. However, many women depend
on what nylons do to hide imperfections and improve color. Is their a solution
in a can?
The makers of NYCE Legs say their spray gives women the look and feel of
nylons without the discomfort, but does it work? Leonard Villarreal, a
10 News reporter, puts the product to the test.

Wendy Urushima-Simmons and Debi Palumbo are professional women who hate
wearing nylons and were eager to try NYCE Legs."I hate nylons so much,
I don't wear them," Urushima-Simmons said.
"They're hot, they're itchy, they're uncomfortable and you 're constantly
pulling them up," Palumbo said.
The volunteers followed the directions on the can and say the instructions
are simple and easy to follow. Urushima-Simmons and Palumbo kept the can
about 6 inches from their legs, sprayed evenly, and then smoothed gently
with their hands. "Actually, it feels really good and it does appear
to be covering the spider veins," Palumbo said. "Wow! Yeah, you
can see the difference here, wow. I have a lot of scarring from eczema
and birth marks. You can still see them, but I am impressed," she
added."I really like it. It makes your legs feel really smooth, it
evens out the color nicely and it doesn't feel heavy or sticky like pantyhose
," Palumbo said.NYCE Legs advertises the spray won't come off until
you use soap and water, but the volunteers wiped their legs with a white
towel to see if the product would come off. A small amount of the spray
did wipe off, but it did not bother the testers. The makers of the spray
also say legs will breathe much better with NYCE Legs as opposed to nylons
or pantyhose."
